This is a little story about Rocky. He was a gift from his mother to her child for getting good grades. He came to us September 3rd, 2005 as a 4 month old survivor puppy from Hurricane Katrina. His family lost everything in New Orleans. They were relocated to Dallas, and a volunteer brought him to us. While Rocky stayed with us, his family worked at rebuilding their lives. They continued to deal with more tragedies after the hurricane. They managed to visit Rocky every few weeks despite everything happening in their lives. In the meantime customers coming into our shop were offering money to adopt this cute little Shih Tzu puppy. I am happy to say that Rocky was finally able to go home to his family’s new home locally on November 8th. And for anyone wondering...we cared for Rocky free of charge.
